1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and anggastudio("we", "us") about your use of the JemBooth app (package / bundle ID com.anggastudio.jembooth) on Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ on iPhone and iPad, Apple’s agreement takes precedence.

2. What the App Does

JemBooth turns your pictures into photo booth strips. You can shoot in the app or import photos, pick a layout, theme and filter, and save or share the result. The app has no user accounts. Your photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. How we handle data is described in the JemBooth Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

3. Your License to Use the App

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, including at parties and events you host or run. You may not:

  • copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
  • extract the app’s layouts, themes, stickers, fonts or other artwork and use, share or sell them on their own, outside the strips you make with the app;
  • get around the purchase checks, watermark or other limits of the free version;
  • use the app in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.

The app, its design and its artwork belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of them.

4. Your Photos and Strips

Your photos and the strips you make are yours. We claim no rights in them, and we cannot see them. Strips you make with the app may include our artwork (frames, stickers, text). You may use, print and share those strips freely, for personal or commercial purposes such as an event you run, as long as the artwork stays part of the strip.

You are responsible for what you photograph and share. In particular:

  • get the consent of the people in your photos before you share them, and follow the law where you are;
  • do not use the app for content that is illegal, that sexualises minors, or that harasses, threatens or impersonates someone;
  • only use photos you have the right to use.

5. JemBooth Pro, Free Trial and Payments

The app is free to download and use. JemBooth Pro unlocks extra features, such as Pro layouts, themes and filters, more photos per strip, higher export sizes and strips without the watermark. Each install also includes a small number of free Pro exports so you can try Pro before you pay. The features and the number of free exports may change over time.

Pro is offered as:

  • Monthly and annual subscriptions, which renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel;
  • Lifetime, a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro for as long as we offer the app, on the store account you bought it with.

All payments are processed by the store you use, Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad, under that store’s terms. The price, the currency and any taxes are shown by the store before you confirm, and may differ by country. We never see your card or payment details.

Renewal and cancellation.A subscription is charged to your store account when you confirm and then at the start of each new period. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time in your store account: on Android, Google Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions; on iPhone and iPad, Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Free trial. Where the store offers it, the annual plan starts with a free trial. The store decides who is eligible, usually one trial per store account. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the annual price is charged when the trial ends.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store, under its refund policy. We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves. To ask for one, use Google Play’s refund page or Apple’s Report a Problem.

Restoring and moving purchases. Use Restore Purchases in the app to get Pro back on a new device signed in to the same store account. A purchase made on Google Play does not carry over to the App Store, or the other way around.

Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. The store tells you in advance, as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

6. Themes, Events and Updates

We add, change and retire layouts and themes, including seasonal themes for holidays that are offered for a limited time. Some content is downloaded by the app after you install it. We may also update the app, change or remove features, or stop offering it. If we stop offering Pro, we will not charge new subscription periods. We do not promise that any specific layout, theme or feature will stay available.

7. Third-Party Services

The app relies on services run by others: Google Play and the App Store for downloads and payments, RevenueCat to check your Pro status, and Sentry for crash reports. Their own terms apply to how they work. If you share a strip to another app, such as WhatsApp or Instagram, that app’s terms apply from then on.

8. Keep Your Own Copies

Projects and photos are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app, resetting or losing the device removes them, and we cannot recover them for you. Save the strips you want to keep to your gallery or another backup.

9. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be free of errors, always available, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract under the law of your country.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of photos, projects or data. Our total liability to you for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for JemBooth Pro in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Ending These Terms

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it (and, for a subscription, cancelling it in your store account). We may end your license if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12 continue after these Terms end.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the app or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes with them. For an important change, we will also tell you in the app or on this page before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.
